There were a couple of volumes of this visual guide to the japanese craze for rock n roll revivalism during the 70’s. Japanese fashion labels have always (and continue) to hone in on specific details with a fine tuned regard for authenticity. By all accounts in the early seventies a teddy boy scene was bubbling through nicely but the dal explosion came when  clothing brand Cream Soda launched a shop in Harajuku specialising in fifties fashions in 1975. The proceeding years saw a groundswell in smartly dressed teddy boys parading the streets.
